Our household is in full fledged “Back to Homeschool” mode. We’re sprucing up our schooling space, shopping for school supplies, eagerly awaiting UPS and Fed Ex book deliveries, and organizing our materials. The girlies are excited about the coming school year and so am I!
I like to do something special with the girlies to celebrate the start of the new school year. Our tradition has become going out to breakfast at the local pancake house or diner. While we eat, the girlies and I talk about the upcoming school year. We describe the things we’re looking forward to and we share any concerns we may have about the coming school year.
Once we’re back home, we take a long walk around our development. This helps work off a few calories from those delicious chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon. Plus, it gives us a chance to take in some fresh air and settle ourselves before diving back in to schoolwork.
This year, I’m adding another fun activity to our “Back To Homeschool” routine. We’ll take a few minutes to play my Back To Homeschool Board Game. Download your free copy by clicking on Back To Homeschool graphic below.
