Fueling Up

I love those who love me; and those who diligently seek me will find me. (Proverbs 8:17)
During the daytime, our television is rarely on. The girls occupy themselves with books, crafts, games, puzzles, and toys as I complete various tasks around the house. Each day, as they happily romp around and I work on a variety of tasks, I play Christian music, listen to a sermon, or take in a Christian broadcast.
I started doing this last year and have found it’s much easier for me to fold laundry, wash dishes, and prepare meals if my heart is encouraged by music and information that is Christ centered. Likewise the girls seem to play much more kindly with one another and maintain a happy mood longer when they’re listening to Bible stories or Christian songs.
Since radio reception in our house is poor, I often turn to the internet to find good things for us to listen to. Listening online has proven to be wonderful because we can listen to Christian information from all over the country. One of the best sources for Christian listening is at One Place.
One Place offers an extensive list of ministries for listeners to select among. Once you find a ministry you’re interested in, you can listen to current and archived broadcasts whenever you like. All broadcasts are free. You can even narrow your search to find ministry broadcasts geared toward women, men, married couples, families, or just for children.
Throughout the week, I usually listen to Enduring Truth, Family Life Today, Homemakers by Choice, Homeword with Jim Burns, Generations Radio, Living Proof with Beth Moore, while the girls prefer to hear entertaining stories and songs Karen and Kids or Paws and Tales. My most recent audio search at One Place led me to rediscover Unshackled, a radio drama I remember listening to as a child on our local Christian radio station!
No matter what you’re looking for, I’m nearly certain One Place has a Christian ministry to address your interest and needs. Don’t fill your ears with the secular noise found on today’s television and radio. Instead opt to fuel up throughout the day with the far more edifying ministry broadcasts found at One Place. I believe you’ll be blessed!
